Häze, the Icelandic modder well-known for its original products has worked in partnership with Augustin from Phielas Cloud to offer an atomizer, and not every atomizer: Alcatraz RDA. A flavor oriented bottom feeder dripper atomizer of course!
Elegance and sobriety
In terms of design, Alcatraz respects the standards of drippers we can currently find in the market. Its top cap made of brushed steel (SS) allows us to contemplate the quality of the provided work. 3 airholes are visible on the top cap but we'll come to it later. Alcatraz is equipped with a large 510 Ultem drip tip but will also accept more "classical" drip tips.
It has a 22mm diameter base, offering the hightest compatibility with the material we can currently find on the market. It also has 22mm height and is pretty discreet, perfect to make your setup more beautiful!
Flavors first!
First, the coil is placed vertically with 3 airflows that cover the entire surface. It also allows to considerably reduc the size of the atomization chamber.
The atomization chamber is in part closed by an Ultem plug to reduce heat, bring air and provide a tank at the bottom. Three essential points. Alcatraz is a pure BF atomizer so there's no classic Pin with it. You can build it with cotton or mesh (Genesis), that's up to you!
As we said before, three airholes are visible on the top cap. By rotation, you can use 3, 2 or only one for a indirect vape (MTL vape). For example, 3 airflows will feel like Hadaly, 2 airflows will feel like Narda, 1 airflow will feel like Origen Dripper.
Limited edition
This limited edition, in addition to an even higher quality finish, offers several very pleasant little things. A mint mark on the base provides a point of reference for airflow adjustment.
But it is especially at the level of the top cap - and its coating - that changes have been made. The work on the material is amazing, and the shades obtained, gold, glossy black and dark blue metal are exceptional.
It is not a layer of paint, but a specific coating. They are made using superalloys. Let's not go into too much technical details, but they are the result of a treatment of these superalloys by hot oxidation and abrasion.
